hi, im trying to install deli in a Thin Computer wich doesn't have ps2 for keyboard so i have to use a usb Keyboard. I can use keyboard until i have to put "deliinstall".
By other side, i have installed it on another computer and then reinstalling the hard disk in the Thin but have the same problem. I cant login because the keyboard its not detected after the boot of linux.

Any help?

Thanks in advance

i haven't tried this, but I think it should be possible if you choose the SCSI version of DeLi and/or start the USB subsystem at boottime (by adding it to the file /etc/rc.modules -- there are many postings in the forum with some descriptions of the necassary files you must include).
However, I'm not sure whether it isn't already too late for getting the keyboard at boottime as the commands in the rc.modules start at the end of the booting procedure. You must figure it out by yourself.
Good luck anyway ;) !

I forgot to mention :
http://www.delilinux.org/forum/topic.php?id=1094
shows the usage of the coldplug command to start the USB subsystem at boottime.

Karl posted this in the German forum and got his USB mouse working at boottime this way. Perhaps a keyboard is more time critical than a mouse......

thank you very much delix, now its working. All i did its to enable scsi at setup and then add usb modules to /etc/rc.modules:

/sbin/modprobe usbcore
/sbin/modprobe usb-uhci
/sbin/modprobe usb-storage
/sbin/modprobe usb_mod

I did it on a pc with ps2 keyboard and then install the harddisk to the "terminal thin pc" wich just have usb ports for keyboard and mouse.
