If I'm understanding what you're asking for with low bandwitdh, you're wanting sites that download fast and don't have a lot of scripting or require specialty applications to view properly. You may want to do a search on sites that are compliant with the Best Viewed With Any Browser campaign (
www.anybrowser.org/campaign/). A lot of those sites used to look good even in lynx. You may also want to look for sites that are compliant with accessibility rules (such as 508 and WCAG). Some of these sites carry banners or logos stating their compliance. You may be able to search on that in your favorite search engine. I try to maintain my own web site (
http://www.distasis.com) so most of it is viewable in lynx or will at least degrade gracefully on older browsers. It's getting harder to do if you want to keep up with the latest W3C standards, but if you have a browser that can handle html 4.0/xhtml 1.0 standards, you should be able to view any sites that don't have a lot of plug-ins or scripting. Finding web developers that stick to the basic W3C standards isn't always easy though. Most W3C compliant sites will have a link to the W3C validator (
http://validator.w3.org/) or show their banner. You may be able to search on that as well. Would be interested to hear if anyone runs across any other interesting sites they'd like to share.
